Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Electrician to join our on-site engineering team. The role includes electrical maintenance, repair, and installation for hospital plant and building services, with 1 in 6 on-call duties and potential weekend work in the future.

The position is 37.5 hours per week with flexibility on working patterns. Full details are in the job description; sponsorship is not available, and interview date is 25 November 2026.

Qualifications

City & Guilds 236 Part 2 (or equivalent)
IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition BS 7671:2018
BTEC, ONC in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities

Perform electrical maintenance, repair and installation work on building services and plant.
Carry out tests and checks on Fire Alarm systems, Emergency Lighting, generators, and related equipment.
Plan daily workload to meet the maintenance schedule and respond to on-call duties.
Record test results for compliance/auditing purposes on PDAs.
Work as Competent Person (LV) for the Trust and cooperate with the Estates team.
