Job summary

Medirest is hiring a Domestic Assistant to support infection control and maintain hospital cleanliness for patients, visitors and staff. You will help keep wards, toilets and public areas safe and presentable.

This full-time role offers night shifts, a pay rate of £13.45 per hour for a 37.5‑hour week, plus DBS check and full training. You will join a team delivering essential services across NHS trusts and private hospitals.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality or healthcare cleaning experience is not required.
• Willingness to learn and go the extra mile for patients.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• Maintain high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors.
• Follow Health & Safety guidelines and use equipment properly.
