Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is hiring a Domestic Assistant to join our hospital cleaning team. The role focuses on infection control, keeping wards, patient areas and facilities clean, safe and presentable for patients, visitors and staff.

You will work mornings Monday to Friday for 32.5 hours per week at £12.92 per hour. DBS check is required; full training provided; this position offers a meaningful chance to make a difference in patient care.

Qualifications

• Passionate about patient care and patient safety.
• Able to work under pressure in a hospital environment.
• Willingness to learn and support the team.
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Dusting, mopping, cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets and public areas.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Handle waste and ensure bins are emptied and removed when full.
