Job summary

Compass Group UK's Medirest division is seeking a Domestic Assistant for a hospital cleaning role. You will help maintain infection control by cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers and public areas to high standards.

No prior experience is required; a willingness to learn and contribute to patient care is valued. DBS check is required and costs are covered by the employer. The role is 30 hours per week at £12.92 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about patient care and able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team with a flexible approach.
• Confident working in a hospital environment and aware of patients who may be unwell.
• No prior Domestic Assistant experience required; willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
• DBS check is a requirement, costs met by the employer.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• Maintain high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors by following policies.
• Use equipment in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
