Job summary

Medirest is seeking a Domestic Assistant to support hospital cleaning operations, contributing to infection control and patient safety. You will work with a dedicated team to keep wards, side rooms and public areas clean and presentable.

Varied shifts, DBS check funded by employer, extensive benefits, including pension, health services and staff discounts; previous experience not required, pride in your work and willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Commitment to patient care and infection control.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Clean wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• Maintain high hospital standards for cleanliness and safety.
• Use equipment following Health & Safety guidelines.
