Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, invites applications for a Domestic Assistant role in a hospital setting. You will contribute to infection control and support patient care by cleaning wards, rooms and public areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety.

The role involves flexible shift patterns and working in a hospital environment. Candidates should be passionate about patient care, able to communicate with patients and healthcare staff, and capable of working both independently

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital cleaning and infection control protocols preferred.
• Clear communication with patients, visitors and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a flexible team.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Clean wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Maintain rubbish bins and remove when full.
• Ensure areas are clean, presentable and safe per policies and procedures.
• Use cleaning equipment following Health & Safety guidelines.
