Job summary

Priory Hospital Roehampton, part of Sodexo, is hiring a Chef to deliver nutritious, high-quality meals for patients, staff and visitors. You will own your section, maintain culinary standards, and work in a supportive, structured kitchen environment with a focus on quality and patient wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a chef.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene legislation.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard.
• Follow recipes, specifications and dietary requirements.
• Support menu planning and recipe development.
• Assist with food ordering, stock rotation and waste control.
• Mentor and support junior chefs and kitchen colleagues.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and audit-ready.
• Contribute to a positive and professional team culture.
