Job summary

Join Sodexo at Priory Hospital Roehampton as a Chef and use your culinary expertise to support patient wellbeing through nutritious, high-quality meals. You’ll take ownership of your section in a structured kitchen where quality, teamwork and consistency matter as much as creativity.

We offer a competitive hourly rate (£14.00–£16.00) + Sodexo benefits, with 37.5 hours per week across 5 days in 7. This is a stable role in a professional environment designed to support your development and career

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years' experience working as a chef.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene legislation.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy service periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a consistently high standard.
• Follow recipes, specifications and dietary requirements.
• Support menu planning and recipe development.
• Assist with food ordering, stock rotation and waste control.
• Mentor and support junior chefs and kitchen colleagues.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards.
• Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organised and audit-ready.
• Contribute to a positive and professional team culture.
