Job summary

The Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care is seeking a Bank Healthcare Assistant to support patients at home in their final weeks of life. You will provide compassionate personal care, assist with daily activities, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to tailor care plans.

Shifts are flexible across a 7-day week, and you must have access to a car. Training will be provided; prior caring experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Full, current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS check.
• Good IT literacy including Microsoft Office and email.
• Experience in caring or home-based support preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide end of life care to patients in their own homes as per care plan.
• Demonstrate high standards of personal care and support under management.
• Work with families and health professionals to address physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the team.
• Identify safeguarding risks and follow policy guidance.
