Job summary

Peace Hospice Care is seeking Healthcare Assistants to provide practical and emotional support to patients in their own homes as part of the Rapid Personalised Care Service. No prior care experience is needed, and training is provided.

You will help with daily living activities, support families, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. Starting Band 3 NHS-equivalent salary (£24,625–£25,674 pro rata) with mileage reimbursement and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK driver’s licence.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 23 hours per week.
• No visa sponsorship required beyond UK eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to patients.
• Assist with washing, dressing, toileting, and skincare.
• Support patients with meals and hydration.
• Reposition patients for comfort and monitor wellbeing.
• Observe and report changes in a patient’s condition.
• Offer reassurance to patients and families, and spend time listening.
