Job summary

Willen Hospice is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Catering Team at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. You will serve customers, take drink orders, and assist with basic food preparation including sandwiches, salads, and fresh cakes.

The role also involves clearing and washing utensils, handling payments, and maintaining high kitchen hygiene standards. The successful candidate should have excellent customer service skills, a flexible approach, and experience in catering/front-of-house

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills with a can-do and flexible approach.
• Experience of working in a catering/front-of-house environment.
• Food hygiene level 1 certificate desirable; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and take hot and cold drinks orders.
• Assist in basic food preparation such as sandwiches, salads and fresh cakes.
• Clear and wash kitchen utensils, load/unload dishwasher, take payments for food.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to required standards.
