Job summary

Ad Warrior Ltd is looking for a Rough Sleeper Recovery Worker to help adults over 18 who are experiencing homelessness and substance misuse in Canterbury. You will work with outreach teams to move people away from the streets and into suitable accommodation while coordinating access to treatment and health services.

Role requires building trusting relationships, applying harm-reduction and abstinence-based approaches, and delivering tailored support with a focus on outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist, person-centred support to rough sleepers and those at risk of homelessness.
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop risk management plans and SMART care plans.
• Deliver harm-reduction guidance and structured one-to-one interventions.
• Facilitate group-work sessions to encourage engagement and reduce risks.
• Collaborate with outreach workers and partner agencies to create effective treatment pathways.
• Share specialist knowledge through advice, guidance and training for other outreach workers.
• Coordinate care with healthcare services, probation and housing teams to ensure joined-up support.
• Track outcomes and contribute to Forward and Rough Sleepers Initiative targets.
