Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Homeless Intervention and Prevention Officer to join a busy South London Local Authority Housing Service on an initial 6‑month contract. You will deliver early homelessness prevention activity, working proactively with individuals and households at risk of losing accommodation.

You will provide expert advice across housing issues, welfare benefits and tenancy matters, ensuring customers receive timely, accurate guidance that supports sustainable housing solutions

Qualifications

• Experience in homelessness prevention or housing options services.
• Solid understanding of relevant housing legislation.
• Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure environments.
