North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Homelessness Prevention Support Officer to help deliver the housing options and advice service. You will develop tailored support plans and provide tenancy support for clients in temporary and move-on accommodation, coordinating with external agencies and families as needed.

As our Homelessness Prevention Support Officer, you will assist staff in the delivery of the housing options and advice service, developing support plans for each client’s individually assessed support needs. You will provide tenancy support for clients in temporary and move on accommodation and will liaise with external agencies, client’s families and carers as required.
This is a very challenging role that requires someone who is resilient, has empathy and patience to deal with clients with complex support needs.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience in housing, homelessness, or the support sector, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
