Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for Enfield Council to hire a Homeless Housing Coordinator on a 3-month contract. You will join the Initial Assessment Team to conduct homelessness assessments, provide housing advice, and identify sustainable housing options for residents.

Working hours are 35 per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, at Edmonton Green Library, Enfield. Umbrella rate is £28.30 per hour. Closing date is 1 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting homelessness assessments and decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related housing law.
• Proven ability to manage complex homelessness and housing cases.
• Ability to provide welfare benefits advice and work with partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial homelessness assessments.
• Assess applications under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Prevent and relieve homelessness through early intervention.
• Provide housing advice and homelessness guidance.
• Identify suitable housing options for applicants.
• Support residents to remain in or access housing.
• Liaise with landlords, solicitors, and housing providers.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
