Compass Associates are seeking an experienced Home Manager for a well-supported elderly care service in the Launceston area. You will take full ownership of quality, compliance, occupancy and workforce performance, backed by a central support team and a strong leadership culture.

The role requires governance oversight, CQC readiness, and a proven track record of stabilising services and delivering good outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with NMC PIN preferred; experienced non-nurse Home Managers with strong nursing home background will be considered.
  • Proven Home Manager experience within a nursing setting.
  • Strong grasp of CQC compliance, clinical governance and inspection readiness.
  • Commercially confident across occupancy and workforce planning.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Home Manager | Nursing & Residential Care
Launceston area, Cornwall
Salary: Up to £70,000 + bonus & excellent benefits

The Role

Compass Associates are working in partnership on a search for an incoming Home Manager on behalf of a highly respected elderly care provider.

This is a key leadership appointment within a well-invested nursing and residential service. The successful candidate will take full ownership of quality, compliance, workforce and commercial performance. They will be supported by an experienced central support team.

The service has a settled structure in place and fully recruited heads of department. What it needs now is a stable, long-term leader. The provider wants someone to put down roots, embed a positive culture, and lead the home confidently into its next chapter.

Candidate

We are seeking an experienced, values-driven Home Manager ready to commit to a service for the long term.

You will bring clinical credibility, or strong governance oversight if non-nurse, alongside the leadership presence to build a loyal, settled team. You will use data to drive decisions, grow occupancy and admissions, and build trusted relationships with residents, families and commissioners.

A track record of stabilising a service, delivering strong commercial performance and sustaining Good outcomes will be central. Above all, you will be motivated by purpose and by the lasting difference consistent leadership makes to residents and colleagues.

On-site at the home, Launceston area. Commutable from Plymouth, Tavistock, Okehampton, Bude, Liskeard and Bodmin.
