Job summary

Compass Associates are delighted to partner with a well-established elderly care provider to appoint an experienced Home Manager for one of their care homes in Hampshire.

This role has overall responsibility for quality, people, and the operational and commercial performance of the service, with support from a regional structure.

You will inherit a strong foundation and have the chance to shape the next phase, focusing on quality, occupancy growth and staffing excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven Home Manager experience in elderly care.
• Strong nursing and/or dementia care background.
• Experience managing a medium to large service.
• Solid knowledge of CQC regulations and governance.
• Track record of improving or maintaining quality outcomes.
• Commercial acumen in occupancy and workforce planning.
• Excellent leadership and people development skills.
• Visible, patient and proactive leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible, values-led leadership across the home.
• Lead, motivate and develop management and care teams.
• Maintain CQC compliance and governance.
• Drive improvement in care delivery and operational performance.
• Support occupancy growth through relationships and commercial awareness.
• Develop workforce planning, recruitment and retention strategies.
• Reduce agency use through rostering and staffing plans.
• Engage with residents, relatives, commissioners and professionals.
• Promote a positive, inclusive resident-focused culture.
• Collaborate with regional and central teams to achieve outcomes.
