Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in Great Yarmouth is seeking a Home Manager to lead a small care home focused on residents with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The permanent, on-site role offers a salary up to £60,000 per annum dependent on qualifications.

Applicants must have prior Home Manager experience and ideally hold RMN/RNLD credentials, with strong budgeting and recruitment skills. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality care and smooth operation of the home.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience as a Home Manager.
• Must hold RMA / NVQ5 or equivalent.
• Valid NMC PIN – RMN or RNLD desirable but not essential.
• Experience in budgeting and recruitment.
• Previous troubleshooting or turnaround experience.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangement, training and care planning within the home.
• Organising and motivating the carers to ensure good standards of care are delivered.
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents.
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals (clients, GPs and other multi-disciplinary team members).
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards regulations are met to ensure the needs, welfare and social inclusion of the residents are secured.
• Organising and attending regular staff meetings.
• Ensure the overall smooth, efficient and effective running of the care home at all times.

Job Description:

A permanent Home Manager post has become available in a small care home in Great Yarmouth that specialise in providing care to those with learning disabilities and other mental health concerns.

• Up to £55,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications

The successful candidate will be required to ensure the smooth running of the home at all times and to the highest quality of care to the home's residents, who have learning disbilties. Good communication skills, previous home management experience and a passion for providing outstanding care are therefore essential.
