Job summary

B&Q Workington is looking for a friendly Checkouts Customer Advisor to help customers on tills, assist with click & collect, set up displays and keep the store looking inviting. You’ll be the face of the store, delivering great service and guiding customers through their home improvement projects.

We offer a permanent part-time position (16 hours per week) with shifts across Monday to Sunday, 8.00am–8.00pm.

Qualifications

• Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us.
• You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others.
• You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working.
• You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Join our team as an expert advisor, getting to know every customer and their home improvement projects.
• Sales will be important, including click & collect, setting up displays and keeping the store looking great.
• Provide great customer service on the tills as your main aim.
