Job summary

Currys is seeking a First Line Manager at our Basingstoke site to coach and lead delivery drivers, warehouse teams and support colleagues. You’ll drive performance, optimise processes and ensure high standards of customer service in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You’ll oversee staffing, allocate resources, and work cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve operational challenges, while maintaining safety and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading teams with coaching focus.
• Track record of developing teams to meet customer-focused targets.
• Strong org skills to plan and prioritise workloads.
• Excellent communication across departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience in logistics or transport is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site operations, staffing and resources.
• Motivate delivery drivers, warehouse teams and support colleagues to hit targets.
• Provide regular performance feedback to the team.
• Influence operational decisions to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal/external departments for smooth operations.
• Deputise for Operations Manager and support cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities for change and process improvements.
• Maintain a safe working environment per health and safety policies.
