Job summary

Currys Plc in Basingstoke is seeking a dedicated First Line Manager to lead our Home Delivery Site on a fixed term 12‑month contract. You will coach delivery drivers and warehouse teams, ensuring daily targets are met while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires strong people skills, proactive improvement mindset and the ability to deputise for the Operations Manager. You will guide staffing, operations planning and cross‑functional collaboration, fostering a safe, efficient

Qualifications

• Proven experience in leading teams and driving performance.
• Ability to develop teams to achieve customer-focused results.
• Strong organisational skills to implement plans and prioritise workloads.
• Excellent communication across departments and with customers.
• IT skills including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience in logistics or transport environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the running of the site, staffing and resources.
• Motivate a team of delivery drivers, warehouse teams and support colleagues to meet targets.
• Provide regular and consistent performance feedback.
• Influence operational decisions to improve efficiency.
• Work cross-functionally with internal/external departments for smooth operations.
• deputise for the Operations Manager and adapt to different work areas as required.
• Identify opportunities for change and process improvements.
• Create a safe working environment in line with health and safety policies.
