East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting an integrated Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant to work in Community Rehab teams. Role involves home visits, working with therapists, and supporting treatment plans within the community setting.

The post requires communication with patients and families, ability to travel across ELHT sites, and willingness to engage with IT-enabled delivery of therapy sessions. Training and supervision are provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade 4 or above in English/ Maths or NVQ level 3 or equivalent in relevant area.
• Experience in a professional caring situation and ability to work with people who have disabilities.
• Experience of working alone and ability to function in a community setting.
• Demonstrated IT literacy including basic Microsoft Office usage.

Responsabilités

• Undertake delegated assessment tasks as requested by therapists.
• Contribute to setting treatment goals with therapist and patient.
• Deliver parts of treatment plans as prescribed by a qualified therapist.
• Provide verbal and written feedback on patient progress to the case therapist.
• Document interventions in patient notes in line with policy.
• Carry out administrative duties and manage stock and equipment.
