Job summary
Unique Community Services, part of the Catalyst Care Group, is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to deliver compassionate, home-based mental health care for people with complex needs. You will provide mobility support, monitor vital signs, assist with meals, and maintain a clean living environment, all within a person-centered framework.
We offer professional development through Care Certificate and PROACT-SCIPr-UK training, with on-shift support, free DBS, and flexible shifts.
Qualifications
- One year of previous experience in healthcare settings, in community or home-based care.
- Experience in managing complex health needs, with a focus on mental health, autism, learning disabilities and working with diverse populations.
- Driving license is mandatory for community work and transport of the people we support.
- PMVA training is required.
- Experience supporting people with complex health needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide mobility support, including basic moving and handling.
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Help with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and, when needed, financial assistance.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation and records.
