Job summary

Unique Community Services, part of Catalyst Care Group, is hiring Healthcare Support Workers to deliver high-complex mental health care at home. You will support people with challenging behaviour and personality disorders, providing person-centred care in their homes, while upholding our values of compassion, impact and community.

The role involves flexible shifts (4–8 hours or longer) and coordinating with care packages to ensure safe, effective support.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in healthcare settings, in community or home-based care.
• Experience in managing complex health needs, with a focus on mental health, autism, learning disabilities and working with diverse populations.
• Driving license is mandatory for community work and transport of the people we support.
• PMVA training is required.
• Experience supporting people with complex health needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobility support, including basic moving and handling.
• Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
• Help with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration, and maintaining a clean environment.
• Offer companionship, emotional support, and, when needed, financial assistance.

Job Overview:

The Healthcare Support worker is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services directly in people’s homes.
