Job summary

Platform Housing Group is seeking a Falls Responders to operate from home across Worcestershire, handling on-call calls for fall and no-injury incidents. You will be the first contact, use assistive equipment, and provide minor aftercare as part of a NHS-contracted service.

The role is fixed-term until 31 May 2027, requires 20 hours/week on an on-call rota with 12-hour shifts and 24/7 coverage. Driving licence and DBS checks are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• You will be a confident and capable communicator, demonstrating empathy and patience when dealing with customers who may be distressed.
• The ability to risk assess situations and mitigate problems where possible.
• Experience of working in a care giving or supporting role would be preferred.
• A professional, friendly, empathetic manner, demonstrating patience and understanding to the needs of the customer.
• Due to the nature of the role a full driving license and access to a vehicle will be essential.
• All offers are subject to the successful candidate passing an enhanced DBS prior to starting employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to falls alerts, attend incidents, and manage each call through to resolution.
• During each 12-hour on-call shift you will be expected to respond to falls alerts and work a minimum of 4 hours per shift; the post has 20 hours per week.
• Work on an on-call rota with 12-hour shifts across a 3-week period.
