Job summary

St John Ambulance Cymru is seeking an Urgent Care & Falls Assistant to deliver high‑quality patient care in the community. You will provide transportation for high‑dependency and non‑emergency patients and respond to falls or welfare calls under the direction of NHS Trusts and clients.

Shift patterns include 12‑hour days and nights on a 4‑week rotation, with DBS checks required. Cardiff training and eligibility to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years driving experience and a valid Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Eligibility to work and live in the United Kingdom and willing to undergo DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for high‑dependency and non‑emergency patients as required.
• Attend falls response or welfare calls and act within approved clinical scope.
• Perform patient assessments at scene and deliver suitable emergency support as trained.
• Work day and night shifts, including weekends, on a 4‑week rotation.
