Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a Data Cabling Engineer to cover the Midlands on a home-based basis. The role involves installing copper cabling, containment systems, and cabinet dressing for commercial, retail and office environments.

Overtime is paid at time and a half Mon–Sat and double time on Sundays/holidays. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Cat5e/6/6A, Fluke DSX certification equipment, a valid CSCS or ECS card, IPAF, a full UK driving licence and a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on copper structured cabling experience.
• Experience using Fluke DSX testers for certifying links.
• Valid CSCS or ECS card and IPAF certification are required.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel within the region.
• Clear DBS check (cost reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling.
• Install containment and build/ dress cabinets to a high standard.
• Certify links with Fluke DSX testers and fix faults as needed.
• Work from drawings and schedule documentation; record results.
