Job summary

identifi Global Resources is hiring a Senior Cabling / Smart Hands Engineer in the UK, focusing on supporting Data Centre and IT infrastructure projects. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in structured cabling, expertise in fibre installation/testing, and relevant certifications. Key responsibilities include installing and testing cabling, rack installations, and on-site technical support. Applicants should be willing to travel within the UK and overseas. Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in structured cabling / Data Centre environments.
• Strong fibre installation and testing skills, including Fluke experience.
• Understanding of patching schedules and rack builds is crucial.

Contract: ASAP – UPTO 6 months

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cabling / Smart Hands Engineer to support Data Centre and IT infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test fibre optic and structured cabling
• Rack and stack network equipment (switches, routers, servers)
• Install cable containment (tray, trunking, fibre runner)
• Carry out patching, testing and fault finding
• Provide on-site support to remote technical teams

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in structured cabling / Data Centre environments
• Strong fibre installation and testing skills (Fluke experience)
• Understanding of patching schedules and rack builds
• Valid CSCS/ECS (or equivalent) certification
• Industry qualifications (e.g. BICSI, CNET, City & Guilds) and manufacturer accreditations
• Willing to travel within the UK and Overseas
