Job summary

MorePeople is seeking an Area Sales Manager to cover Northern London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. You will manage and grow garden centre and independent retailer accounts, visit regularly and secure orders across a broad territory.

The role combines sales, account management and in-store support, with home-based work and regular travel. A proven track record in garden retail or related consumer products is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in field sales, account management or business development.
• A track record of growing accounts and winning new business.
• Confidence selling and negotiating face to face.
• Strong organisation and the ability to manage your own territory.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to achieving targets.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Building relationships with garden centres and independent retailers
• Securing orders and growing sales within existing accounts
• Identifying, approaching and winning new customers
• Negotiating commercial opportunities and improving in-store visibility
• Planning efficient routes and managing your diary
• Supporting merchandising and coordinating customer support
• Working towards sales and activity targets
• Reviewing sales performance and sharing customer and competitor feedback
