Job summary

Morepeople is seeking a Garden Centre Manager for a well established Surrey site within one of the UK's leading garden centre groups. You will own the commercial, operational and people performance of the centre.

The role is full time at 42.5 hours per week with alternate weekends. You will drive sales, margins and KPIs, lead a sizeable team, maintain high merchandising standards and manage stock and costs across the centre.

Qualifications

• Experienced garden centre manager with a proven track record.
• Commercial focus on margins and KPIs.
• Strong people management of established teams.
• Garden centre or horticulture experience preferred.
• Hands-on leadership balancing people and commercial duties.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales, KPIs and overall commercial performance across the centre.
• Lead and develop a sizeable team of full and part time staff.
• Provide clear direction to an experienced and established team.
• Maintain high retail and merchandising standards across the centre.
• Ensure seasonal ranges, plants and other perishable products are managed commercially.
• Manage costs, margins, stock and overall centre performance.
• Maintain a visible presence across the centre and build strong relationships with the team.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and continue developing an already successful site.
