Job summary

Triumph in Hinckley is offering a Temporary Industrial Placement for an HMI Design Engineer to work within the Electrical/Electronic systems team. This undergraduate placement year (2027/28) focuses on UI/visual design across a range of projects, with exposure to Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Jira in a dynamic engineering setting.

You will contribute to design, layout, and visual prototyping, gaining mentorship through our MPDS scheme and a path toward potential full-time opportunities after

Qualifications

• Undergraduates currently studying Product Design, UI Design, Graphic Design, or related visual/digital design disciplines.
• Familiarity with Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
• Strong visual design skills and understanding of layout, typography, and colour.
• Modules or coursework involving UX, interaction design, motion design or human factors would be an advantage
• Experience with Jira or similar project-tracking tools. Exposure to prototyping, animation, or 3D tools would be an advantage
