Job summary

Evolito Ltd. in Oxfordshire offers a 12-month Industrial Placement in Mechanical Design for engineering students.

You will work on live customer projects from day one, designing components, creating 3D CAD models, drawings and documentation, and supporting from concept to verification under expert mentoring. You'll gain hands-on experience in electric propulsion product development, with exposure to DFMEA, design reviews and prototype build activities, in a fast-growing aerospace tech

Qualifications

• Must be studying Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Must complete an industrial placement year as part of the course.
• Understand engineering fundamentals and be interested in product development.
• Have experience with a 3D CAD package such as Siemens NX, CATIA or SolidWorks.
• Be practical, analytical, collaborative and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of components and assemblies for electric propulsion products.
• Produce and modify 3D CAD models, 2D drawings and technical documentation.
• Support projects from requirements and concept development through to manufacture, testing and verification.
• Assist with material selection, design for manufacture and prototype build activities.
• Contribute to design reviews, DFMEAs, development testing and technical investigations.
• Receive mentoring and support throughout the programme.
