Job summary

GAC Education is recruiting experienced HLTAs to deliver whole-class cover, PPA release, and targeted small-group interventions across mainstream schools, SEN/SEMH settings in and around South Warrington, Thelwall, Lymm, and the M56 corridor.

HLTA status or substantial UK-classroom leadership experience is required, with SEND/EHCP support and an Enhanced DBS. Safeguarding principles and de-escalation training are essential, with flexible block placements and long-term contracts offered.

Qualifications

• HLTA Status or substantial, verifiable leadership in UK schools.
• Experience supporting SEND or complex emotional needs.
• Enhanced DBS check with Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Solid safeguarding knowledge and Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE).
• De-escalation training (Team-Teach, MAPA or Safety-Intervention) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver whole-class lessons and PPA cover.
• Lead 1:1 and small-group interventions for EHCP pupils.
• Implement positive behavior support and trauma-informed approaches.
• Assess progress and feed back to teachers and SENCOs.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and school child protection policies.
