Job summary

GAC Education is recruiting dedicated HLTAs to deliver whole-class cover, PPA release, and targeted small-group interventions across mainstream primary schools, secondary academies, resourced provisions, and specialist SEN/SEMH settings in and around South Warrington, Thelwall, Lymm, and the M56 corridor.

Whether you specialise in managing dynamic classroom environments or leading tailored intervention programs for pupils with SEND or complex emotional needs, we offer flexible block placements

Qualifications

• HLTA status or substantial verifiable experience leading whole-class teaching in UK schools.
• Experience supporting children with SEND or SEMH, ASC, or ADHD.
• Enhanced DBS with Update Service (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and KCSIE guidance.
• Desirable de-escalation training (Team-Teach, MAPA, or Safety-Intervention).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging whole-class lessons and PPA cover aligned to the national curriculum.
• Lead targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions for EHCP pupils.
• Implement positive behaviour support and trauma-informed strategies.
• Assess progress, provide feedback to teachers and SENCOs.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and school child protection policies.
