Belvidere School in Shrewsbury is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils struggling to access the mainstream curriculum. You will work closely with the SENCO, teaching staff and pastoral team to lead planned learning activities for small groups and individuals, helping learners build confidence and independence.

The role involves working in our inclusion rooms, providing a calm, structured environment and applying clear routines.

Formación

• HLTA status or an equivalent qualification or experience.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND (social, emotional and mental health).
• Ability to lead learning with small groups and adapt activities.
• Ability to work in inclusion rooms with routine and calm environment.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsabilidades

• Lead planned learning activities for small groups and individuals.
• Support pupils to access mainstream lessons where possible.
• Collaborate with SENCO and pastoral team to monitor progress.
• Maintain clear routines and high expectations.
• Apply de-escalation strategies to support emotional regulation.
