Job description

Accelerate Teaching is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work at a primary school on the East side of Leeds. This full-time role starts as soon as possible and will continue until at least 20th December. The role involves working across the whole school, providing essential support to both pupils and teachers.

The ideal candidate must have proven experience as an HLTA in a primary school setting. You will be expected to run interventions, provide classroom support, manage behaviour, and assist with planning and delivering lessons. Your expertise will also be vital in supporting children with varying abilities, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Running targeted interventions and support sessions
  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons
  • Managing classroom behaviour and providing one-on-one support to students
  • Assisting with administrative tasks and playground duties
