High Peak School, in partnership with Prospero Teaching, is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor & Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated individual to support the learning and development of students in a thriving educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cover Supervisor Duties: Supervising classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their work.
• Teaching Assistant Duties: Providing 1:1 and group support to students, particularly those with SEN, to help them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
• Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students in their academic and personal development.
• Collaboration: Working closely with teaching staff and SEN specialists to ensure that the needs of all students are met.
• Administrative Support: Assisting with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons.

Key Requirements:

• Experience in SEN Settings: You must have experience working in a Special Educational Needs environment.
• Driving: A valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
• Positive Attitude & Teamwork: You should be proactive, adaptable, and have a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Both written and verbal, to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Passion for Education: A genuine passion for working with young people and helping them succeed.
