Job summary

Ormiston Latimer Academy seeks a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our close-knit team in Kensington and Chelsea. Reporting to the Head of School, you will lead on mental health and wellbeing while supporting learners across individuals, groups and whole classes.

You will line manage Learning Support Practitioners, work with SENDCo, and collaborate with families and external agencies to provide personalised, inclusive support that helps learners transition back to

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or have extensive experience across education settings.
• Expert knowledge in SEN/SEBD interventions (at least three areas).
• Proven track record of implementing school-based projects and supporting inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver learning for individuals, small groups, and classes.
• Line manage and train Learning Support Practitioners.
• Spearhead mental health and wellbeing strategy and ensure student safety and readiness to learn.
• Gather learner and parent feedback each term and act on it.
• Support reintegration and inclusion across settings, with partner agencies as needed.
• Coordinate enrichment sessions, rewards and trips.
