Job summary

Ormiston Queensmill Academy in London seeks a proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Teaching and Learning Team. You will support the educational and emotional development of students, complementing teachers and delivering learning activities for individuals or groups.

The role focuses on pupil regulation and wellbeing, with responsibilities for monitoring progress, attendance and behaviour, and contributing to inclusive practices for autistic pupils.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.
• NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or HLTA standards.
• Experience supporting pupils, especially those with autism or additional needs.
• Excellent communication and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals or groups.
• Monitor learners and assess progress; record attendance and behaviour.
• Support pupil regulation, emotional wellbeing and engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers under supervision in line with policies.
