Job summary

St Martin's School Brentwood is seeking a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant of Inclusion/SEND to support pupils with SEND. This full-time, term-time role involves coordinating intervention programmes, collaborating with teachers, and contributing to the ongoing development of SEND provision.

You will liaise with parents and professionals, maintain accurate SEND records, and help create an inclusive learning environment that raises aspirations for all learners.

Qualifications

• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

Full time, term-time only (38 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the identification, assessment and monitoring of pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
• Deliver, coordinate and evaluate targeted intervention programmes.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to implement effective strategies and provision that meet individual pupil needs across the curriculum.
• Contribute to the development, implementation and review of One Plans, SEND Support Plans and EHCP provision.
• Liaise effectively with parents/carers, staff and external professionals to promote positive outcomes for pupils.
• Supervise and manage the SEND Hub, maintaining a purposeful learning environment and accurate, confidential SEND records.
• Attend SEND team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of SEND provision across the school.
