Job summary

Hall School Wimbledon is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. This role works closely with teaching staff and the Inclusion team to deliver tailored support, helping every pupil to thrive.

You will work within a nurturing environment on a unique Wimbledon campus, with small class learning, IEP implementation, and collaboration with parents and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Has experience supporting children with SEND (in a school or similar setting).
• Patient, empathetic and passionate about individual needs.
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Creative, adaptable and proactive in approach.
• Builds positive relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEND, in and out of the classroom.
• Collaborate with class teachers to adapt activities and resources.
• Support implementation of IEPs and personalised interventions.
• Foster pupil confidence, independence and engagement.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Collaborate with parents and external professionals as required.

• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and contributing to reviews
• Assist in creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals where required
