Job summary

Ark St Alban's Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide specialist support and targeted interventions, aiding pupils' progress under teacher guidance. You will work with the SENCO and teachers to assess needs and contribute to IEPs, delivering 1:1 and small-group sessions to boost attainment.

The role demands a degree, Maths/English GCSE C or above, and HLTA training, with at least two years' TA experience in the last five years.

Qualifications

• Experience building positive learning relationships with pupils.
• Experience in TA role including classroom organisation.
• Good understanding of teaching and learning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured small-group interventions under teacher guidance.
• Adapt resources and support SEND/EAL pupils more independently.
• Support pupil learning through targeted interventions and learning programmes.
• Work with SENCO and teachers to assess pupil needs and contribute to IEPs.
• Plan and deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention sessions to support pupil progress.
