Job summary

Aldridge School - A Science College in Aldridge is seeking an HLTA to support the Personal Learning Centre and deliver targeted learning activities to groups and individuals. You will plan interventions, support students with social, emotional, behavioural, and learning needs, and work with staff to meet pupil goals.

The role requires HLTA qualification or equivalent, GCSEs at least grade C/4 in English and Maths, safeguarding training, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training).
• First Aid qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day operation of the Personal Learning Centre (PLC).
• Deliver learning activities to small groups and individuals.
• Plan and prepare targeted interventions to support student progress.
• Support students with social, emotional, behavioural and learning needs.
• Work with PLC Manager and staff to meet student needs.
• Build relationships with students, families and external agencies.
• Monitor student engagement, attendance and wellbeing.
• Promote inclusion and help students reintegrate into mainstream school.
