Job summary

Unity Education Limited is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a Havering primary school on a full-time, permanent basis. The role supports Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with pre-planned lessons and occasional whole-class delivery.

The successful HLTA will work closely with teachers, foster inclusive learning, manage classrooms effectively, and model high standards of conduct and safeguarding. Immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent experience in primary education.
• Experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and lead whole-class sessions when required.
• Work closely with class teachers to plan and prepare engaging activities.
• Support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Promote inclusion and the acceptance of all students in the classroom.
• Act as a role model, upholding high conduct and safeguarding policies.
• Provide additional support to teachers in the classrooms.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils in lessons.
