Job summary

Protocol Education is partnering with welcoming primary schools in Tower Hamlets, seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA) to support learning across year groups. The role involves covering during teacher absence or PPA, leading interventions, and supporting pupils with additional needs in a collaborative setting.

Ideal candidates hold HLTA status or have solid primary school experience, with strong behaviour management, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Has experience working within a primary school setting.

Responsibilities

• Delivering planned lessons during teacher absence or PPA cover.
• Supporting pupils across a range of year groups.
• Leading small-group interventions to raise attainment.
• Working closely with class teachers to support pupil progress.
• Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assisting with assessment and monitoring pupil development.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
