Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

• Support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all students within the classroom.
• Act as a role model, setting high expectations of conduct and promoting positive pupil behaviour.
• Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies about health & safety, welfare and safeguarding.
• Provide additional support to the teachers in the classrooms.
• Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered.

The Role:

• Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and leading whole class sessions when required
• Working closely with class teachers to plan and prepare engaging learning activities
• Supporting pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs
