Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a 2-form entry primary school in High Wycombe. You will play a senior role, supporting teaching and learning, and assisting with lesson planning and delivery.

The successful candidate will lead intervention groups, support assessment, and work collaboratively to ensure high standards of progress. Role starts September 2026, long-term contract with a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent
• Experience in a primary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Vacancy: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: High Wycombe

Contract: Long term contract

Pay: 110 to 130 per day

Start: September 2026

As a HLTA your key responsibilities will be;

• Support the teaching staff in delivering high-quality lessons
• Lead intervention groups and provide additional support to students who require it
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the students
• Assist with the assessment and evaluation of student progress
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
