Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a primary setting in Wirral. You will support learning, inclusivity, and pupil outcomes by delivering interventions and leading activities with closing collaboration with teaching staff.

The role emphasises safeguarding, pupil wellbeing, and maintaining high classroom standards, with a competitive daily rate and ongoing CPD opportunities within a supportive school team.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or strong equivalent advanced classroom support experience.
• Proven experience leading learning activities and/or interventions in a school setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and inclusive teaching practice.
• Enhanced DBS check and Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and targeted 1:1 or small-group interventions.
• Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence and maintain routines and safe environment.
• Support safeguarding and day-to-day operations to ensure high care standards.
• Assist with planning, resource prep, and adapt tasks for SEND and diverse needs.
• Monitor learning and contribute to assessment records and progress feedback.
