Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Greenwich. You will lead learning activities, deliver targeted interventions and support teachers to help pupils reach their potential.

The role is full-time, term-time only, starting September 2026, with a competitive daily pay of 105 to 130 GBP. You will benefit from ongoing CPD and professional development through The National College and direct support from a specialist

Qualifications

• HLTA status or relevant experience in a higher-level teaching assistant role.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence leading groups and delivering learning activities.
• Genuine passion for supporting children's learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Reliable and positive approach to education.

Responsibilities

• Leading learning activities across the school, including whole-class cover when required.
• Supporting teachers with planning, preparation and assessment.
• Delivering targeted interventions to help pupils progress.
• Working with children of varying abilities, including those with SEN.
• Contributing to a positive learning environment.
• Supporting the wider school team and maintaining high standards of pupil care.
