Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is helping a welcoming Greenwich school to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time, five-day per week role in Greenwich. The ideal candidate will have HLTA or classroom experience, a strong understanding of the curriculum, and the confidence to lead lessons and support pupils across the school.

A degree is preferred, and there is clear scope for progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• HLTA or classroom-based experience required.
• Strong knowledge of teaching and learning.
• Confident to lead lessons and manage a class independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons and activities across the school.
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups.
• Cover classes and lead learning in the teacher's absence.
• Assist with planning, assessment and classroom management.
• Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive environment.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Contribute to wider school life and development.
